AMEC Minproc continues to improve its health, safety and environmental performance through the adoption of best practices and adherence to our health, safety and environment management systems. 

Health

AMEC Minproc operates in different parts of the world including Australia, Africa, South America and the United Kingdom, and each location presents its own set of health issues.

AMEC Minproc works closely with clients and employees to ascertain and mitigate health risks. The company also runs an internal health promotion program, including free health checks and lifestyle management opportunities; personnel are also encouraged to participate in initiatives such as the blood donor program for the Australian Red Cross.

Safety

On safety there can be no compromise.

We believe that a safe environment is not just a place where injuries and accidents do not occur, but also where the risk of an injury or incident has been managed out.  

We have a dedicated global team of professionals whose job is to reduce harm to employees, contractors and visitors by assisting the management team implement safe practices, and systems of work through appropriate training and supervision.

AMEC Minproc has a strong focus on risk management, training and the continual review and improvement of HSE management systems, procedures and project-specific plans.

Past project performances include:

  • Ravensthorpe (Western Australia) - during the 2005/2006 period, more than 5,382,900 hours lost time injury free (LTI)
  • Langer Heinrich (Namibia) - achieved more than 775,000 hours without an LTI
  • Kansanshi (Zambia) - almost 7 million hours with a LTI frequency rate of 0.88
  • Ruashi (DRC) - completed in more than 800,000 significant incident and LTI free
  • Bogoso (Ghana) - achieved one million hours LTI free
